Tor is open-source security web-browser based on Mozilla Firefox Browser, Tor browser aims to conceal its users’ identities and their online activity from surveillance and traffic analysis by separating identification and routing, basically in simple language you can protect your online identity (Location, IP address) when you use website surfing or any data accessing.

Install Tor Browser in Kali Linux Using Terminal :

Firstly, run the following command to add Tot browser repository in your Linux distros:

echo -e "deb http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib\ndeb http://security.kali.org/kali-security/ sana/updates main contrib non-free" > /etc/apt/sources.list

And then update your repo :

apt-get update
apt-get update --fix-missing 

After this, Tor was installed normally with

apt-get install tor

Open Tor browser to run the following command:

kali@kali:~$ torbrowser-launcher

First time it will download and install Tor Browser including the signature verification.

Next time, it will be used to update and launch Tor Browser.
