Debian 11 Openbox. “Your own system on a flash drive without unnecessary garbage”

Debian 11 Openbox, Elementary leaning a bit.

Finally, I realized an old dream – my own system on a flash drive without unnecessary garbage. Installing from a minimal image, later using Linux live kit scripts.

Debian 11 Openbox. “Your own system on a flash drive without unnecessary garbage”

Successfully tested on old hardware without HDD (Pentium E5300, 2GB of RAM) – it works quite well.

As the top panel – tint2, below Plank, application launcher – xlunch. The icon theme used is Qogir

I tried various portable Linuxes, as a result I had to reinvent the wheel for myself, because something always didn’t suit me in ready-made solutions. I wanted minimalism, which was completely absent in existing projects (hello, puppyrus!) And at the same time, full control over the system.

Programs are also stored on a flash drive, LibreOffice as an appimage package, Firefox and Telegram are portable versions downloaded from official sites.
