How to install Pitivi on Ubuntu:
The new release 2020.9 is in the Ubuntu 21.04 Universe repository. For latest update and Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint, and other Linux, you can install it in the following ways: Flathub repository..
1. Open a terminal from the system application launcher and run the command to install Flatpak (if you don’t have one).
sudo apt install flatpak
For Ubuntu 18.04, you must first add the PPA before installing the flatpak daemon.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexlarsson/flatpak && sudo apt update
2. Next, run the command to add the Flat Hub repository.
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
3. Finally, install Pitivi Video Editor.
flatpak install flathub org.pitivi.Pitivi
Uninstall the Pitivi Flatpak package:
For some reason, you can easily remove the flatpak package by running a command in the terminal.
flatpak uninstall org.pitivi.Pitivi
